Breakdance classes in Leeds - start 11th January

UDC breakdance classes teach you the foundations of Bboying from industry professionals that work with major Brands from Nike , Coca Cola and Sony to well known Music artistes and on television.

The class begins with a warm-up, stretching and strengthening exercises to prepare you for learning the foundations of B-boyin; this will include top rock, foot work, freezes, throw downs, belly windmill, six step and floor work. You will in time progress onto the more challenging B-boyin moves and will be encouraged to work on your own more mixing up and linking different B-boyin moves.

Some of the students from this class have progressed onto being entered into the competitions. The class sometimes will end for those that are brave enough in a freestyle battle, this will help to build on your own style, strengths, creativity and confidence.

Teachers:

Teachers: The class is taken by one of our talented teachers from our team of break dancers they are all highly skilled and experienced full time Bboys that have made a successful career out of there passion and commitment to breakin. Along with their teaching work they have all performed for various brands, television, music festivals and touring shows across the UK and competed to the highest level in Competitons through out the World.

Guest Teachers: We will sometimes bring in different teachers which will help to broaden your skills. You will learn different techniques and methods in Bboying as every teacher has their own strengths and qualities and has something new to bring to your own development and learning.

What to Wear

Trainers on the feet and something you can move easily in, jogging bottoms and T shirts.

What to Bring

Bring a friend, not compulsory! A bottle of water and knee pads if you have them.

Venue

Our classes are held at the Yorkshire Dance Centre, 3 St Peter's Buildings, St Peter's Square, Leeds LS9 8AH.
